Tony Boldi and Rebecca Whitman-Boldi

Many know Tony Boldi, an independent film producer and distributor, as the unofficial “people’s mayor” of Hollywood. So it was only fitting that he propose to award-winning comedic actress Rebecca Whitman on a double-decker Hollywood tour bus. “The tour had taken us by all of the venues, clubs and restaurants we had frequented during our courtship,” says Rebecca. “Then the driver made an announcement and before I knew it Tony was down on one knee!”

True to form, the wedding that followed also reflected the couple’s larger-than-life love of the silver screen and the industry that surrounds it. Everything from the classic red, black and white palette to the handmade table numbers (named after famous big-screen couples) exuded Old Hollywood charm. But movies weren’t the only important theme of the big day. The couple’s mutual religious beliefs also played a vital role, as Rebecca and Tony both attend Agape Spiritual Center, founded by the author of The Secret, Reverend Michael Beckwith. The couple applied Beckwith’s principles of positive thinking and visualization to the planning process, and believes doing so helped them to achieve a wedding that “was even better than we could have imagined.” Michael Beckwith himself officiated the ceremony, which took place on a romantic and luxurious yacht in Marina del Ray.

After the couple said “I do,” the mood quickly turned festive as they danced down the aisle to Flo Rida’s “In the Ayer,” joined soon after by their attendants and Reverend Beckwith. The reception ensued on dry land at the FantaSea Yacht Club, where the venue’s comprehensive wedding package surpassed all expectations. The bundle included floral arrangements, catering and even a five-tiered wedding cake, which were “all outstanding,” says Rebecca.

After a touching father-daughter dance and a flawless-yet-unrehearsed first dance, the couple rewarded each guest with personalized glow sticks, and proceeded to boogie down til the wee hours, surrounded by their closest friends and family. “Our wedding was filled with so much love, it trumped all of the tiny details we might have worried about. If I can tell brides and grooms one thing, it’s to choose the right guests and nothing can go wrong,” says Tony.

Tony and Rebecca plan to continue the celebration later this year with a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic. Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
